Our meetings will typically be held on the first Tuesday of the month and will be a combo of in person at JHS or a Zoom. We will decide on a monthly basis but September and October will be IN PERSON! September meeting will be on Tuesday, September 13th giving everyone an extra week to get settled into the school routine and October will be on Tuesday, October 4th. Both meetings will begin at 6:30 in the JHS Cafeteria!
Hello Everyone! I’d like to take a moment to give a huge warm welcome to all of our new families, existing families and the entire staff at JHS!! I am Jillian Shove, PTO President here at Jerome. This will be my fourth year on the board as President. When my son first started school, it quickly became such a special place to me and now with my daughter starting Pre-K I am excited for another year ahead! We have been very fortunate over the last couple years to have some awesome fundraisers. Along with the generosity of our families we have been able to raise funds to do some pretty amazing things! The PTO is such an important piece of the puzzle to what makes Jerome the wonderful place that it is. With a lot of the covid regulations behind us we are so excited for our first "normal" year coming up! Bringing back more of our events as well as volunteers and parent involvement! The smiles on the children’s faces say it all and is the reason why we do what we do! We have been brainstorming over the summer and cannot wait to get started. I hope that you have all enjoyed your summer vacation and hope to see new and returning faces at our first IN PERSON meeting in September! Myself and fellow board members Vicki, Ashley and Cristina are looking forward to a successful and fun year ahead!
The Parent Teacher Organization (P.T.O.) is a non-profit organization that provides programs and materials to enrich extracurricular, social, and educational activities. Its aim is to support the school and strengthen the relationship among home, school, and the community. It is through joint efforts that a better school experience is provided. Membership dues, along with proceeds from fund-raisers further these objectives. Meetings are held once per month on the first Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. and membership is open to all teachers, parents or guardians of JHS children. Each year is filled with many rich and diverse learning opportunities for the children. All parents are encouraged to become as involved as possible.
